Testimonials

“Kelly helped me connect my singing to my body and mind. It wasn't just about learning technique, it was about making myself whole as an artist and taking care of myself. She always created a welcoming, gentle, understanding, and human space in every lesson.”

- Marisa D.

“I've had a few lessons with Kelly and I was insanely pleased and excited to work with her! She is truly a professional and, as someone who has never sung before, I felt progress even in the first few lessons. My lessons with her always have a calm and relaxed atmosphere, and the process has been a kind of meditation for me. I would definitely recommend Kelly to anyone who wants to learn to sing. She cares a lot about results and you will have a fun time with her lessons!

- Katia B.

“Kelly's teaching goes beyond just vocal technique—she taught me that true vocal potential is deeply connected to how we care for ourselves, both physically and mentally. Through her guidance, I developed a stronger kinesthetic awareness that has greatly influenced my singing and my life. Kelly's kindness and humility stand out as some of her greatest strengths—not only as a voice teacher, but as a person. Her compassionate and holistic approach, as well as her humor and enthusiasm, creates an environment for the student and voice to thrive.

Teaching Philosophy

As a voice teacher with nearly 10 years of experience, I blend tools from the great Bel Canto teachers, vocal acoustics, and embodied anatomy. These tools provide access points to tap into our authentic voice. Together, we will explore technique as a pathway to expressive freedom.

I teach students of all ages and experience levels. My pedagogy is focused on curiosity, exploration, and play. Expressing ourselves through voice is one of the most fundamental aspects of being human. In lessons, I will encourage you to make new (and silly) sounds that feel connected to your whole body. Tools like Alexander Technique and props like straws and bouncy balls may make their way into lessons. After all, mastery ought to be fun!

In addition to the study of vocal technique and coordination, students will build their musicality through text study, music theory, stylistic considerations, and more. My comprehensive background is in classical music and musical theatre but I am constantly studying other genres on my own and with students.
